Wharf cellars and damp

The cellars along the Oudegracht are unlike anything else in the country: below the waterline, permanently humid, and increasingly in use as bars, shops and studios. Standard fittings corrode there within a few years. We install to a higher ingress rating and always fit RCD protection, because damp and electricity in a confined space is not a combination to improvise with.

Houses in multiple occupation

Many Utrecht properties have been subdivided into student rooms, each with its own fridge, kettle and heater, all running from wiring meant for a single household. It is a frequent cause of overload. We add circuits and, where needed, sub-meter each room.

Leidsche Rijn: capacity, not safety

In Leidsche Rijn the wiring is new and safe. What runs out there is capacity — an EV charger plus a heat pump plus induction quickly exceeds a single-phase supply. Most of our work in that district is upgrades rather than repairs.
