Electrical inspection reports

An electrical report records independently what is going on with your electrical installation: the facts, the measurements, the cause and the assessment against NEN 1010, the Dutch wiring standard. After damage, for a defect after buying a house, for your insurer or as a second opinion on another report.

Facts, not blame

We establish what is technically going on. Who is liable is for the parties and their advisers to decide, with our report as the basis.

In brief

What is an electrical report?

An electrical report is the written record of an independent investigation of your electrical installation. It describes what was found, what was measured, what the technical cause is and which NEN 1010 clauses apply, with a photo of every finding.

You use it with a seller, your insurer, an installer or a lawyer. Because the report is separate from any repair, every party can rely on it. Reports are written in Dutch; we explain them to you in English.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about an electrical report

What is the difference between an inspection and an electrical report?

An inspection assesses the condition of an installation at a given moment. An electrical report answers a specific question, such as the cause of damage or whether a defect existed for longer, and records the answer in a substantiated way.

How much does an electrical report cost?

The price is on request. It depends on the type of report and the size of the installation. You always receive a price in advance.

How quickly do I receive the report?

Usually within about an hour of completing the inspection.

Is the report in English?

Reports are written in Dutch, because they are usually read by a Dutch seller, insurer or lawyer. We explain the findings to you in English. If you also need the report itself in English, mention it when you book and we will tell you what is possible.

Who can use the report?

You, and the party who has to assess it: a seller, insurer, loss adjuster, installer, lawyer or legal expenses insurer.

Do you also carry out the repair?

We can, but you do not have to use us. The report is separate from the repair; you choose the installer.

Do you judge who is liable?

No. We establish the technical facts and the cause. Who is liable is for the parties and their advisers to decide.
