Sample electrical report
This sample report shows how an Elektra Experts report is built. It is a fictional case: buyers of a 1974 house, an RCD that keeps switching off and a burning smell in the attic. Below you can see all six pages, with an English explanation of each part.
Real structure and layout · names, address and measurements are invented

The conclusions first, then the facts
The sample report, like our real reports, is written in Dutch. It opens with who, what and where: client, inspection address, reference and reason for the investigation. Directly below is the In het kort box (in brief): the main conclusions in one place, so a seller, insurer or lawyer immediately knows what it is about.
Page 2 contains the feitelijke vaststellingen (factual findings), without interpretation and with references to the photos in the appendix. Then come the metingen (measurements): the result and assessment of each one. In this sample report that includes an insulation resistance of 0.4 MΩ, where at least 1.0 MΩ is required.

The cause, the assessment and the grounds
Page 3 sets out the technische oorzaak (technical cause), step by step: from a push-in connector with too little contact pressure to charred insulation and an RCD that trips. Then the question that matters in a purchase dispute: a long-term process or a recent event? The traces that point to a longer period are set against those that would point to a recent event.
Page 4 gives the grondslag van de afkeur (grounds for rejection): for every finding the matching NEN 1010 clause, so any expert can check it. This part ends with concrete advies voor herstel (repair advice) and what to do until then.

Conclusion, independence and the photo appendix
Page 5 makes clear what the report does and does not do: it describes the technical situation and does not judge liability. Questions are answered in a technical supplement, and there is a statement of independence. Page 6 is the photo appendix: every finding with a numbered photo and caption. In this sample report those are illustrations; a real report contains only photos taken during the inspection itself.

The Dutch terms you will see, in English
Our reports are in Dutch because the seller, insurer or lawyer usually reads Dutch. This list helps you follow along; we always explain the findings to you in English as well.

Report for your insurerFrequently asked questions about the sample report
Is this a real report?
No. The structure and layout are the same as our real reports, but the case, names, address, dates and measurements are fictional. That way we can show what a report looks like without using any client's details.
Why is the sample report in Dutch?
Because our real reports are in Dutch too: they are usually read by a Dutch seller, insurer or lawyer. We explain every report to you in English, and the glossary on this page helps you follow the main terms.
Will my report look exactly like this?
The structure will: header details, In brief, findings, measurements, cause, grounds, repair advice and photo appendix. The content and length depend on your situation.
Does a real report contain real photos?
Yes. A real report contains only photos taken during the inspection itself, each with a caption and a reference from the text. In this sample report they are illustrations.
How quickly do I receive a report?
Usually within about an hour of completing the inspection.
How much does a report cost?
The price is on request, depending on the type of report and the size of the installation. You always receive a price in advance.
